The Art of scarf tying: the long tie

For an elegant look perfect for the office, try the long tie.

Drape a long scarf around your neck and tie a simple knot in one side of the scarf about half way down the length.
Pull the other side of the scarf through the knot, adjust so it is well positioned, and tighten.

The Art of scarf tying: the loop

The most popular, and one of the best scarf ties to keep you warm, is the Loop.

Fold a long scarf in half and place it behind your head. Wrap it around your neck and slide the ends through the loop, making sure they’re almost even. Adjust the scarf until it’s snug.

Dresses dominate the runway for Spring

The most important thing to look for in any dress is the cut. Fortunately, any cut is in style this season, unlike the trapeze dress popular last year that flattered so few figures. Try on different styles and find the one that compliments your body. Pleats and draping are all the rage and lend an elegant air, such as these by Bora Aksu.

Prints abound in Sex and the City: The Movie

Here the girls wear geometric and floral patterns, but Safari inspired designs also have their place this season. It can be tricky to pull off large patterned designs, but any girl can do it as long as she has a great belt to cinch in at the waist as the girls do here.
