marykate MKs Muumuu Mistake

So the cut of the dress is cute in theory, but how she ever fell for the sickeningly pastel Sweet Tart color we’ll never know. And while the mile-high Louboutins are hot, they’re all wrong for this attempt at a cohesive ensemble. Mary-Kate’s Jsa Jsa Gabor Green Acres inspired thing just isn’t working. If there’s any Hollywood starlet in desperate need of a stylist, it’s this one.

madge Just for Fun: What Were They Thinking?

Madonna and hubby Guy Ritchie step out while divorce rumors fly. But that’s now excuse for the outfit. It’s so atrocious it can’t even be put into words. What was she thinking? Knee-length support hose peeking through satin boxing bloomers? Paired with heels? And that bag! If it weren’t for those stealth guns, I’d say the woman’s let herself go.

curvy Most Flattering Shorts for your Body

Best for the curvy girls

Opting for overly snug shorts will only make a curvy body look bigger than it is. Try a knee-length pair of unfussy, pleat-free Bermudas for a flattering and dressy-chic style.

Avoid: Short shorts and pleated looks.

The Perfect Fit Checklist:

1) Have too-long shorts hemmed. It’s worth it!

2) Avoid bulging pockets.

3) Cuffs shouldn’t grip the thighs.

4) Are the cheeks covered? Sit down in the fitting room and make sure!

pear Most Flattering Shorts for your Body

Best for pear shapes

A straight-cut Bermuda style will instantly lengthen and slim your thighs. Opt for solid on the bottom and prints on top to draw attention up.

Avoid: Bulky cargos that add width to your hips.

petite Most Flattering Shorts for your Body

Best for small women

If you’re petite, you don’t want to drown yourself in baggy shorts. Mid-thigh length, cuffed styles, such as this pair with flirty details like the bow-belt khakis, are especially cute.

Avoid: Too-long Bermudas. You can wear a longer style, but make sure they hit above the knee.

Hot Weather Horror 7: Brassy Highlights

Those gorgeous golden highlights are turning brassy fast.

Prevent It: Highlighted hair that’s naturally medium brown or warm blonde is more likely to go coppery. Prevent brassy hues by covering hair with a hat or using styling aides to block the UV rays that cause that brassy color.

Damage Control: The best bet for resuscitating brassy strands is to head to the salon for a color gloss, which will tone down the copper color and cost less than getting highlights redone.

Hot Weather Horror 6: Razor Rash

You shaved your bikini line, but now you’ve got a nasty razor rash.

Prevent It: Opt for a gel when shaving, and let it sit on skin for a few minutes to soften the hair. Always shave in the direction of hair growth to minimize irritation.

Damage Control: Apply a 1% hydrocortisone cream to the area to reduce the rash. If the skin isn’t broken, conceal redness with a tinted face moisturizer, or opt for a sexy sarong when you’re out of the water.

Hot Weather Horror 5: Frizzy Curls

The humidity has given you a frizzy ‘fro of epic proportions.

Prevent It: The key to avoiding the ‘fro is using a rich leave-in conditioner and keeping hair covered so it won’t expand as it dries.

Damage Control: If the frizz has already hit, wet your hands and run them over the top of hair to re-hydrate, add a wax for control, then twist curls around your fingers to re-form them.
