Who says that fashion and politics don’t mix? Today, politics are entering the world of fashion. Political phrases and slogans are gracing items of clothing that advertise specific candidates or political issues. Obama made his most recent appearance on the runways of Paris in the Jean-Charles de Castelbajac show. The candidate’s face can be seen on a sporty yellow sequined dress among other pieces.
Some famous fashion designers including Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, Vera Wang and Derek Lam also designed merchandise for Obama’s official online store.

You’ve seen them featured at the top of all of the season’s must-haves lists. They’re boots of all kinds, shapes and colors, and the most popular style? The shootie. These work because they’re a transitional shoe hybrid. Top sellers in both warm-weather climates and those waiting for falls leaves to drop, the shoe bootie is the “it” item of the fall season. Whether it’s a stiletto, wedge, or stacked heel, the shootie can be worn with any outfit; jeans (tucked in or not), skirts (mini, knee-length or longer), with tights, and dressed up or down, they’re surely one of the fall’s most versatile items.

Halle Berry, in a body-hugging black dress, and her special man, model Gabriel Aubry were among stars that helped make Calvin Klein’s 40th anniversary bash a New York Fashion Week moment.
The couple mingled with actor Djimon Hounsou and fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons at Sunday’s big event atop the High Line, a former elevated rail line that’s been converted to a park on New York City’s west side.
