Hot Weather Horror 5: Frizzy Curls
The humidity has given you a frizzy ‘fro of epic proportions.
Damage Control: If the frizz has already hit, wet your hands and run them over the top of hair to re-hydrate, add a wax for control, then twist curls around your fingers to re-form them.

Check out Vanessa Paradis’ new Fall 2008 campaign for Miu Miu.
She looks hot as a futuristic superhero, but I personally think Ms. Paradis is better suited to boho-chic labels like Sonia Rykiel or the classic Chanel.
Not familiar with Vanessa Paradis? She’s the French singer/actress/model keeping Johnny Depp’s feet warm at night. The couple have been together for nearly a decade and have two children.

Hot Weather Horror 4: Liquid Lipstick
You open your lipstick and get a melted mess.
Prevent It: If you’re heading to the beach with a cooler for drinks, toss your tube of lipstick in. Or, bring a pot of gloss or a tube with a wand so if it does melt, you can still use it.
Damage Control: If your lip color is just soft, throw it into the fridge or prop it near an air conditioner. If it’s liquid, scoop it into a small plastic pot and you’ve got a new carrier for your favorite color!

Hot Weather Horror 3: Blisters
Those strappy sandals look hot, but a night out in them has left you limping from blisters.
Damage Control: Sanitize a needle with alcohol and pop the blister to let out the fluid. Don’t peel the skin though; apply an antibiotic like Polysporin and cover with a bandage.

Hot Weather Horror 2: Sun-Damaged Polish
After two days in the sun, you pretty pastel nail polish has turned an ugly yellow.
Prevent It: Light pink and beige hues turn yellowish in the sun, to prevent discoloration use a clear top coat formulated to prevent UV rays from altering the color. Also, rub sunscreen over your nails while at the beach.
Damage Control: For a quick fix, remove the top discolored layer of polish with a fine-grain file, then seal with a top coat.

Hot Weather Horror 1: Sunglass Tan
You wore sunglasses for protection against the rays and now you’re sporting raccoon eyes.
Prevent It: Slather on the sunscreen! SPF 30 your entire face to reduce the amount of sun you’ll get throughout the day.
Damage Control: Use a foundation that matches your tanned skin, dab under the eyes and blend, blend, blend! Avoid concealer; it won’t blend well enough.

Legendary director Francis Ford Coppola and his daughter Sofia are the latest to be featured in the Louis Vuitton core values campaign. Shot by Annie Leibovitz, the ad features dad sitting with script in hand, in the middle of an engaging conversation with his daughter amongst the beautiful scenery of Buenos Aries, with a Louis Vuitton bag thrown nonchalantly into the mix.
