Vogue, Adidas and Polo among others also created Olympic themed ads, clothing lines and fashion spreads to follow the crowd. Harper’s spread demonstrates that is doesn’t matter whether you win or lose, it’s how you dressed that counts.

Just under a year after her Little Black Book of Style hit bookstores, Nina Garcia will release another style guide: The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own.

The book’s mission is to introduce women to 100 essential items that will solidify their wardrobe and enable them to feel classic.

The book hits stores August 26.

Still stunning at 43, the seasoned model is only the latest in a long list of original supermodels still very much in vogue. Naomi Campbell, 38, has signed on with Yves Saint Laurent, Christy Turlington, 39, for Escada and Claudia Schiffer, 37, for Salvator Ferragamo.

The votes are in and Michelle Obama has made Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed list for the second year in a row.

A rep for the magazine says that Obama “Has a sleek style that’s not overdone. She connects to the modern woman.”

Also making the list is French first lady and former model Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Middleton.

In the vein of the Cole Haan x Nike collaboration, Nine West has announced plans to work with athletic shoe company New Balance to release a line of “active fashion” footwear. The collaboration is an effort to combine the stylishness of Nine West and the functionality of a New Balance shoe and is slated for release on early 2009. Around 20 different styles will be featured all for under $100.
